Priestnalls of Leek, Staffordshire |
A number of the Priestnall's in the Leek area had the occupation of Cab Drivers and Grooms, and this small collection of photographs depicts their working lives. Most of the Leek Priestnall's in the cab industry worked for the company of Sigleys.
Sigleys started business in 1868 as Funeral Directors, Weddings and Coachmen, and is still in business today.
My thanks go to Amy Priestnall of Leek for permission to publish these photographs and her continuing devotion to Priestnall Research.
